After 20 Years, Malayalam film starring Sivaji Ganesan is being dubbed into Tamil

Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan who had acted in over 280 films in his entire career had done only three Malayalam movies. Back in 1964, Sivaji Ganesan did a guest role in the Malayalam movie 'School Master' and almost after 14 years worked again on a Malayalam movie with Prem Nazir titled 'Thacholi Ambu'. The actor was again approached to do a movie with Mohanlal in 1996 titled 'Swarnachamaram' which was later dropped due to the controversial climax involving mercy killing.

The Producer of the movie V.B.K.Menon used the dates given by the lead actors to make an other movie titled 'Oru Yathramozhi' which went on to become a super hit. The movie which was based on the Father-Son relationship had Sivaji Ganesan playing the role of father and Mohanlal as son. Tamil actors like Prakash Raj, Ranjitha and Napoleon played crucial roles in the movie while Illayaraja composed the music.

According to reports, the makers of the movie is currently planning to release the dubbed version of the movie in Tamil almost after 20 years. The movie which is to be titled 'Payanathin Mozhi' is expected to release soon once the dubbing is completed.
