This Bengali remake of the Tamil Blockbuster is making history

Bengali films which are known for the artistic expression and subtle cinematic language is currently making a transformation and evolving into more commercial form. The latest trend in Bengali film industry is to remake the hit movies from other language. One such movie that was remade from Tamil was 'One' which is currently breaking all the records in the Box-Office. The movie is the remake of the Tamil Blockbuster 'Thani Oruvan' directed by Mohan Raja starring Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy.

The movie which was released on Apr 14 is creating history at Box-Office and is still continuing on theatres. The movie was directed by Birsa Dasgupta and actor Prosenjit Chatterjee portrayed the role did by Arvind Swamy in Tamil while Yash Dasgupta did the role of Jayam Ravi. The movie saw a good reception not only in West Bengal but also in the neighbouring states like Tripura, Assam and Jharkhand. The movie is also expected to get released in Chennai for the Bengali fans in the city. Looks like Thani Oruvan is a rage allover the country.
