The initial verdict of the Pooja releases are out and it looks like Vijay Sethupathi's latest movie Karuppan has a clear advantage at Box-Office over the other releases. Mahesh Babu and AR Murugadoss movie Spyder which released a couple of days ahead received average to poor reviews from audience. Inspite of a stellar performance from SJ Suryah, the movie is criticized for the unnecessary commercial elements and average VFX. Meanwhile, the Gautham Karthik movie Hara Hara Mahadevaki has got some negative reviews but the support of youngsters or this adult comedy is encouraging. The Box-Office collection of Karuppan is expected to get better during the weekend.
Karuppan, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Tanya Ravichandran, gets a thumbs up from the family audience from a commercial standpoint. The movie although is criticized for the tried and tested formula, still got an upper hand over other two releases as it is a thorough entertainer. The film is expected to occupy the main screens on many multiplex pushing Mahesh Babu's Spyder to the secondary screens. Vijay Sethupathi who has had a successful year at Box-Office so far with the exception of Puriyatha Puthir is steadily progressing from a minimum guarantee hero to a main stream hero. Vikram Vedha and Kavan were declared as Superhits with some phenomenal collection.
Hara Hara Mahadevaki is expected to do well considering the huge patronage from youngsters. The film made an impressive opening across TN for such a small budget movie. The AR Murugadoss directorial Spyder is also expected to lose steam after the first week end as the reviews are not favorable. Although the movie made some good collection on the opening day, the two new releases might slow down things during the week end. Karuppan will definitely be the choice of many family audience this week end which guarantees complete entertainment.
