Mahesh Babu tops South India actors with Spyder pre-release business

The upcoming Mahesh Babu movie 'Spyder' directed by AR Murugadoss is doing some excellent Pre-release business in all states. Mahesh Babu who is one of the top actor in Telugu is making his debut in Tamil with Spyder. The movie is simultaneously made in both Telugu and Tamil. Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead in this movie which has music composed by Harris Jayaraj.  The movie is planned for a release on 27th September 2017. It is one of the most awaited movie by south Indian cinema fans.

Pre-Release business of Spyder:

The movie has already made some tremendous business in all south Indian markets. In Tamil the film has done a business on par with Vijay and Ajith movies. Only actors like Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith has a solid market where their movie does a terrific business before its release.  Looks like Mahesh Babu's star power in Telugu and the Box-Office history of AR Murugadoss has worked magic for the film's Pre-Release business.

The Tamil rights for Spyder has been sold for around 30 crores to Lyca. The Telugu version is expected to be sold for a whopping price of 90 crores as per the industry analysts. The dubbed rights in Malayalam and Hindi has been sold for 25 crores. Also, the satellite rights of the movie in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi has already been sold for 25 crores. This puts the over all tally of the movie at 175 crores. With few other digital rights yet to be sold, the film is expected to make a pre-release business of around 200 crores.

Mahesh Babu tops the South Indian Industry.

With Spyder making some historical business of around 200 crores, the actor is at the top of all the young south Indian actors. Even Vijay and Ajith films do not make such huge pre-release business. Only senior actors like Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi commands this kind of reception for their movies. With Baahubali already beating all the Box-Office records in the country, The Telugu film industry is at an all time high topping all the south Indian film industry.
