Selvaraghavan desperately need a box office success with 'Nenjam Marappathillai'

The much anticipated Selvaraghavan movie 'Nenjam Marappathillai' is finally nearing its release and the talented director is counting on a Box-Office success with this movie. Selvaraghavan is back with a movie as director after a gap of four years and the expectations are quite high because of this reason. Also, the trailer of the movie has really helped to get a wide spread attention from the fans. The movie starring SJ Suryah, Swetha Nandita and Rejina Cassandra is jointly produced by Gautham Menon for his Ondraga Entertainment and Escape Artists Madhan and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The director is critically acclaimed for his films like Pudupettai, Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna which went on to become cult hit among fans. Although these movies are celebrated by the movie buffs, it must be noted that these movie were not a profitable venture. Also, his last movie 'Irandam Ulagam' was a disaster at Box-Office. Of all the movies that he had directed only his first three films like 'Thulluvatho Illamai', 'Kaadhal Kondain' and '7G Rainbow Colony' were box office hits.

In-spite of being a reputed director in the Tamil Film Industry, Selvaraghavan is in desperate need of a commercial success at Box-Office. He has taken a break for nearly three years with the exception of his part as a writer in 'Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam'. The director also made an announcement that the script for the sequel of 'Pudupettai' and 'Aayirathil Oruvan' are completed in these three years which came as quite a surprise for the fans. Still, the fate of 'Nenjam Marappathillai' at the box office will be very crucial for Selvaraghavan to materialising his plans in the future.
